Powering Up LHC
September 10, 2008 - 13 years ago, the world's largest and highest-energy particle collider, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), was turned on. After 20 years, over 10,000 scientists from more than 100 countries finally got to see their hard work come to light. The LHC was created to help answer fundamental questions in physics, primarily between quantum mechanics and general relativity.
