Together with CIO Partners | The National CIO Review

Good afternoon, we've been expecting you. This week is not only the beginning of November but also the month of James Bond. With many of the Bond films being released in the month of November, it leaves a sense of nostalgia and celebration for The Bond Community. The character of James Bond has taught us many valuable lessons like never giving up and confidence is key. Although The National CIO Review may not have as much swag as James Bond we do have some great resources for our tech professionals like Q. Today's rundown:

TECH TIME TRAVEL

Age Is No Guarantee of Efficiency, Youth Is No Guarantee of Innovation

A Brief History of Instant Replay | Mental Floss

In the U.S., the month of November brings us many things: sweaters, pumpkin spice, elections, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and (my favorite) Bond films. Ever since 1995, James Bond movies have come out in November - and Director Martin Campbell even relaunched the film franchise on the same day, November 17, first with Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye (1995) and then with Daniel Craig in Casino Royale (2006). In the following years came Craig’s Quantum of Solace (November 14, 2008), Skyfall (November 9, 2012), and Spectre (November 6, 2015). No Time to Die was originally scheduled for release in November 2019 but was postponed multiple times as a result of the pandemic.

All dates aside, Bond films have long carved out the path for innovations in technology - just look to Q and all the toys he's sent Bond away with! Many of those same gadgets have helped Bond survive and defeat his foes.- Mary-Katherine BondRead More: James Bond movies show us the future of tech
