Lotus Notes Creator Born

This week in 1955, American software industry entrepreneur Ray Ozzie was born. Ozzie is well known for helping create Lotus Notes (later IBM Notes and now HCL Notes), enterprise software before enterprise software was "cool" and the norm. Lotus notes transformed the software industry. Once introduced, it had web-like forms, server apps, shared distributed databases, and a "built-in, automatic security level that protected data enterprise-wide with a deep level of granularity" - very much way before its time.Besides creating Lotus Notes, Ozzie also held the positions of CTO and Chief Software Architect at none other than Microsoft from 2005 to 2010.
