Cray-1 Supercomputer Shipped to New Mexico   

March 4, 1976 - The first Cray-1 supercomputer shipped to Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. Los Alamos outbid Lawerence Livermore National Laboratory in California for the Cray-1, receiving the serial number 001.
