iPhone 4 Goes on Sale

June 24, 2010 - After months of leaks, hype, and pre-sale sellouts, the iPhone 4 is released in stores and online. Ten days before release, over 600,000 phones were pre-ordered, setting a record for the number of pre-orders in a single day, and over 1.7 million phones sold its first weekend. The iPhone 4 was praised by critics as the best in its class, despite antenna issues that arose later that summer.
