CISO as Caretaker

With great responsibility for an organization, its customers, stakeholders, and shareholders, it is time for CISOs to embrace a caretaker role. CISOs have a vital role in the safety and security of an organization, yet there is little guidance from governing bodies or codes of ethics in place similar to those for a CIO or CFO. Despite this, CISOs have a calling to step up to the plate and serve their organizations.

Michael Faraday demonstrates the electric generator

October 28, 1831 - Michael Faraday demonstrates his revolutionary invention - the electric generator. Faraday, the famed British scientist and inventor, developed the generator by wrapping a tube with copper wire and insulating it with a cloth. By sending a magnet back and forth within the tube, Faraday created electricity. The generator was no small deal, and more complex versions of Faraday's prototype now power our lives.
