January 2, 1979 - Daniel Bricklin and Robert Frankston incorporated Software Arts as a parent company to VisiCorp. Later that year, Bricklin and Frankston unveiled VisiCalc, the "killer app" that transformed the personal computer from a hobby to a business machine. VisiCalc was first released for the Apple II.
